Title Text Box

The Title TextBox of your RelationShips® project tells the viewer what this is—e.g., your family name’s establishment in America. We generate the first two lines automatically from your entries—a “What” line and a “When” line. You will be able change the entries to anything you want before completing your order, and we provide a third line if you need it.

Origins Text Box

The “Origins Text Box” provides two lines for you to commemorate your relation’s crossing. These are generated automatically from your entries. The first line is generated from your entries to the Country of Origin page. The second is generated from your entries to the Port of Departure page. You may of course change to anything you want before you complete your order.

Destination Text Box

The “Destination Text Box” provides two lines for you to commemorate your relation’s landfall in America. These are generated automatically from your entries. The first line is generated from your entries to the Port of Entry page. The second is generated from your entries to the Destination page. You may of course change to anything you want before you complete your order.

Ship

Your RelationShips® product includes a depiction of exactly the ship of your relation’s crossing, if you know it. If you don’t know it, jimaworks may be able to help you find it, and if there is no image of it jimaworks will render a beautiful facsimile from research. If we cannot determine the ship, jimaworks will research and present options of the most likely ship or kind of ship taken.

Ship Info

Your RelationShips® product focuses on a specific crossing to America of one of the branches of your family. The TripInfo Text Box presents information that conveys something about the nature of the voyage. The first line is usually generated from information about the physical size of the ship used in the voyage. The second is generated from information about the passengers it carried. You may of course change to anything you want before you complete your order.

Plaque

Your RelationShips® product includes an inset plaque on which you may list those who cross in this voyage. of exactly the ship of your relation’s crossing, if you know it. We provide eight lines for listing those of your relations making this voyage. You may of use the plaque in many ways (of which the examples provide an incomplete sampling).

Historic Map Background

The map background for the RelationShips® project is historically-specific map or the time you specify as the time of the crossing you are commemorating. You will be able to chose among five different color schemes for your map background.

Choice of Frame

It is recommended that you select to frame your RelationShips®. If you frame, your unique print will be double-matted with bevelled edging and an engraved, metal plaque that is inset into the mat. It is also set with U-V protective glazing. Whether you frame or not, your print will be on archival quality rag paper.

Size

Sizes are designed to span the need to fill a large place of honor in your living space, all the way down to a gem-sized display for a small space, or for an array of RelationShips® displays of multiple family crossings.

Country of Origin

You can provide the Country of Origin for your crossing, or if you aren’t sure about the country of origin, you are provided options that reflect whatever you *do* know. You will then have the option of graphically highlighting your origins on the map background.

Port of Departure

You can provide the Port of Departure for your crossing, or if you aren’t sure about the port of departure, you are provided options that reflect whatever you *do* know. You will then have the option of graphically highlighting the crossing departure on the map background.

Port of Entry

You can provide the Port of Entry for your crossing, or if you aren’t sure about the port of arrival, you are provided options that reflect whatever you *do* know. You will then have the option of graphically highlighting the crossing’s port of entry on the map background.

Destination

You can provide the destination state or province of this crossing, or if you aren’t sure about the destination, you are provided options that reflect whatever you *do* know. You will then have the option of graphically highlighting the destination on the map background.

Route

Once you provide whatever you know about the Port of Departure and the Port of Entry, jimaworks will display the route of the crossing, which will bef graphically drawn on the map background.

People

If you have imagery of the people of this crossing, you have the option of adding those images to the RelationShips® display.

Artist’s Credit

Each RelationShips® image is either a historical painting, photo, drawing, poster, or postcard, or it is an original work by jimaworks. Either way, the artist is credited in each print.

Unique Print ID

You may personalize the RelationShips® product to your specific history. When you do this, each order is uniquely crafted to address your story and your style. As such, each is unique to you, and each is given an identifier that uniquely identifies it as yours.

Hand-initialed by jima.

Each order is prepared as it is specified by you through the history-eliciting process of the jimaworks pages. When you submit your order, it is prepared for you and sent to you in .pdf form for you to proof. Only when you are satisfied will we sign off and proceed to print.

SeaScape

Once you have selected your ship and the map background, it may provide a dramatic visual impact to add a seascape to the display.
